National women’s football team captain, Renuka Nagarkote, will miss the upcoming SAFF Women’s Championship after she suffered a clavicle fracture during training on Tuesday. Nagarkote sustained the injury on her shoulder at the ANFA Complex during the national camp for the Asian Games and was taken to the hospital for surgery. “Nagarkote underwent open reduction internal fixation surgery at B&B Hospital in Gwarko on Tuesday and will be out for at least 10 weeks,” the All Nepal Football Association said on its website.“She will be discharged from the hospital on Wednesday,” it added. In a historic deal, New Zealand Men and Women cricketers will receive the same pay for the same work. As per the ICC report, for the first time in a five-year deal, the country’s women players, including domestic cricketers, will receive the same match fees as their male counterparts across all formats and competitions.
