Finally Get Custom Navigation for Twitter Blue Subscribers On Android

Twitter has finally decided to allow Twitter Blue Android users to customise their app interface using the Custom Navigation feature. This allows for the users to make changes to their app navigation interface, fine-tuning it to their liking. Twitter Blue, announced last year, is a subscription that Twitter users can sign up to. With a monthly cost of $3, they get access to features that let them undo their tweets, read ad-free articles, and make changes to their app’s theme. While, for the most part, these features are similar across platforms, there were some features like the in-app navigation customisation that was only available for iOS users. Now with this fresh set of changes, though, Android users will also get a taste of what the Apple users had on their phones for quite some t...

Netflix introduces spatial audio for Stranger Things and other originals

Netflix has announced that, beginning today, it’s rolling out spatial audio for select original programming. The feature should deliver more immersive sound, particularly for customers who are listening to a TV show or movie with headphones. Netflix has collaborated with Sennheiser to convert surround sound mixes into an expansive spatial audio presentation that can be played through stereo speakers or headphones; you don’t have to buy anything new or own a proper surround system for this to work. According to Netflix, spatial audio “is compatible with all devices, all streaming plans, and does not require surround sound speakers or home theater equipment.” “Netflix spatial audio helps to translate the cinematic experience of immersive audio to any stereo, so the work creators do to bri...

Tesla will open Superchargers to non-Tesla electric vehicles in the US later this year

Tesla plans to open up its Supercharger network to non-Tesla electric vehicles in the US in late 2022, according to a White House memo. The company has been allowing non-Tesla EVs to use its Supercharger plugs in several cities in Europe as part of a limited pilot program but has been quiet about when US charging stations would be available to non-Tesla EV owners. A “fact sheet” published by the White House on June 28th and noticed by InsideEVs indicates that those EV owners may be able to use Superchargers as soon as the end of this year. “Later this year, Tesla will begin production of new Supercharger equipment that will enable non-Tesla EV drivers in North America to use Tesla Superchargers,” the White House states. Tesla did not respond to an email seeking confirmation of these ...

Google Meet’s premium features come to individual subscribers (Video Calling)

A trio of Google Meet features that were previously only available via Google’s business-focused Workspace plans are coming to Google One subscribers, the search giant is announcing today. These include the ability to have group calls lasting up to 24 hours in length (up from a previous limit of one hour), access to Google Meet’s background noise filtering feature, and support for recorded video calls. These features aren’t coming to every Google One plan. They’ll only be available to users who pay for 2TB of storage or more, which means paying at least $10 a month or $100 a year for a subscription. The features also aren’t rolling out to every 2TB Google One subscriber right away. Google’s announcement says they’ll be available in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, and Australia for ...

YouTube’s picture-in-picture mode is rolling out to more Apple Devices

YouTube Premium subscribers should be getting access to the feature no matter where in the world they live — as long as its an area where you can actually get YouTube Premium, of course — and they’ll be able to use it to watch any sort of content. For non-paying YouTube users, YouTube only mentions that picture-in-picture is available in the US. Within the US, though, the company says that “everyone using the YouTube app on iPhone and iPad” will get the feature but that it’ll only be useable for “non-music content.” If you use Android, you’ve probably had this feature for years, and YouTube says that nothing is changing about it today. This news may be slightly confusing to some Premium subscribers (like myself) who have been able to access picture-in-picture mode for quite a while via ...
