A book on Modi was returned to Calicut University after it became controversial. The book was returned when the ‘NAAC’ inspection team was scheduled to visit the library on Friday. The book ‘Modi @20 Dreams Meet Delivery’ was removed from the exhibition board of the Ch Muhammed Koya Library yesterday. After the controversy, the book was returned. The book contains articles by eminent personalities on the 20 years of Narendra Modi.
The BJP and The Yuva Morcha have come out in protest against the move to remove the book. In the morning, the BJP staged a protest in front of the university. The protest dharna organised by vallikkunnu mandalam committee was organised by Palakkad regional general secretary M. Preman inaugurated it.
Some students came forward with a complaint against the placing of the book on the exhibition board. The authorities did not change it at first as the newly arrived books are displayed on the board. The book was removed after more and more people objected, but after strong protests, the book was returned.
